"For two business verticals - partner/building management and energy - we are discussing a change in revenue model. Instead of direct sale of products, we are contemplating installing equipment and solutions on the lines of lease," US-based Schneider Electric EVP & Chief Technology Officer Prith Banerjee said.
It would be a major futuristic step for the company, he said.
Annual revenue contribution of partner/building solution is 10 billion Euro and energy sector is 4.5 billion Euro.
Banerjee, who joined Schneider four months ago after 22 years experience with universities, Accenture and ABB, is entrusted with managing 1.2 billion euro R&D spend of Schenider.
