Sikka, who took over as the first non-founder CEO of the country's second largest IT services firm in August last year, stays with his family in the US.
Talking to reporters here, Sikka said he is spending a lot of time in India.
"I have to spend a lot of time here, most of the people are here... Everywhere I go, there is just a tremendous amount of love," he added.
Asked about any plans to relocate to India, Sikka said: "...Right now my family is travelling with me. Home is where the family is. It would not be wrong for me to say that whether, I live in India or not live in India, India lives in my heart."
Speaking to reporters in June last year, Sikka said: "I live in California and I plan to continue living there. My family is in California... I'm looking forward to spend significant amount of time here in Bangalore."
