Subash Nembang, the Former Speaker of Parliament, said Nepal is always in favour of maintaining harmonious relations with its neighbours India and China.
He was addressing a function organised here to release a book titled 'New Dimension in Nepal-India Relations'.
Nepal should always keep in centre point national sovereignty and integrity while maintaining equal relations with both the neighbours, he pointed out.
"Although there have been ups and downs in the relations between Nepal and India, there is no other option than respecting each other's independence and work for common benefit," he added.
Commenting on the book, which consists of 25 articles on various aspects of Nepal-India ties, foreign policy expert Buddhi Narayan Shrestha said the views and analysis made in the book are very important to understand bilateral relations.
