For the publicity of two of its schemes, the Department of Posts is going to adopt four inmates of the municipal corporation-run zoo here.
It will adopt a python, an emu, a fox and a sauras crane housed at the Kamla Nehru Zoo here for six months.
The DoP will pay their food expenses for this period -- Rs 11,400 -- and put up banners of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and Dak Jivan Bima Yojna near their cages, an official said.
The DoP and the zoo authorities will soon be signing an agreement.
