India will provide full support to Nepal in its development and economic prosperity, a BJP leader said here today as he called on the Nepalese leadership to draft a new Constitution soon.
Nepal and India are culturally tied together and the two countries should move towards economic prosperity and development by preserving their cultural identity, BJP legislator Bhagat Singh Koshiari said.
Stressing on the need for drafting a new Constitution within the next five months as promised by the Nepalese leaders, Koshiari said India is ready to provide whatever help Nepal needs for its development and economic prosperity.
He was addressing a function organised by yoga guru Ramdev's Patanjali Yoga Peeth, Nepal at Mandikhatar on the outskirt of Kathmandu to mark the victory of BJP leader Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha election.
Nepal's former Prime Minister and CPN-UML chairman Jhalanath Khanal said India will attain both political stability and economic prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
He wished every success to the Modi government and appreciated his efforts to establish close ties with neighbouring countries by inviting them in his swearing-in ceremony.
Nepali Congress leader and Minister for Transport Management, Bimalendra Nidhi, said BJP's victory will have positive impact in Nepal.
Recalling his recent visit to Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony as part of the Nepalese delegation led by Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, he said Modi showed concern about early promulgation of the Constitution in Nepal.
He said Modi also offered all kinds of support for drafting the Constitution and attaining economic prosperity.
Vice President of Nepal Permananda Jha was the chief guest at the function chaired by Shaligram Singh, Trustee of the Patanjali Yoga Peeth, Nepal.
