Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said the country's safety, prosperity and peace was the priority of the Narendra Modi government and there will be no compromise on these issues.
Addressing a public meeting at Vikramgarh in Maharashtra's Palghar Lok Sabha constituency under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative to connect with people at grassroot level, he said, if any evil force will try to harm the safety, prosperity and dignity, India is capable to destroy such elements.
The Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs said the Modi Government has adopted a policy of "zero tolerance" against terrorism and terrorists and their masters are disappointed and nervous.
"Any anti-India activity will not be tolerated," he said, adding that terrorism and radicalism were the biggest enemies of the humanity.
"Terrorism and radicalism have become the biggest challenge to world peace and prosperity. There is a need for an united effort at global level to defeat these evil forces," he said.
Naqvi visited Manor, Talasari, Boisar, Vikramgarh, and Dhekale during his two-day visit, which begin yesterday, and informed the people about various welfare schemes of the Central Government and also heard problems of the public.
He also sought their suggestions for the next budget during public meetings and 'Jan-Panchayat' with farmers, tribals, minorities, youths, women and industrialists.
The Minister claimed the government was committed to empowering the poor, farmers, and youth and has been taking "strong, effective and transparent" welfare schemes to the villages, farmers, poor people, weaker sections, youths and women for their socio-economic-educational empowerment and listed various central schemes.
He claimed the Centre was making special efforts for overall development of tribal, backwards, minorities concentration areas.
