India take lead to 498, end 3rd day at 189/3

India extended their lead to 498 by ending the rain-hit third day of the first Test against Sri Lanka at 189 for three, here today.
Skipper Virat Kohli (76) and opener Abhinav Mukund (81) will resume India's second innings tomorrow.
Brief Scores:
India: 600 and 189/3 in 46.3 overs (A Mukund batting 81, V Kohli batting 76; Danushka Gunathilaka 1/15, Dilruwan Perera 1/42).
Sri Lanka 1st innings: 291 all out in 78.3 overs (Dilruwan Perera 92 not out, Angelo Mathews 83; Ravindra Jadeja 3/67).
