The presence of batting legend Rahul Dravid in the Indian Under-19 camp as their coach is a big boost for the entire side ahead of the next year's World Cup as they begin their preparation with a triseries also involving Afghanistan and Bangladesh beginning here tomorrow.
It is not just the U-19 skipper Ricky Bhui but the whole team including the fielding coach Abhay Sharma, a former Railway coach, is looking forward to Dravid's valuable inputs.
"He is a man with a vision. I have no words to describe his presence... It's a learning process for everybody. He does not force things on you but make them realise what is required. I am sure the result will follow and we will be very successful," Sharma said e on the eve of the tournament.
Indian squad is of 20 members, a bunch of talented cricketers who're yet to play as a team together as the main challenge would be to build the side ahead of the premier tournament in Bangladesh from January 22-February 14.
"They all are very good talented and disciplined cricketers and doing really well in first class cricket. We will give chance to everybody in the squad of 20. The focus will be on gelling," Sharma said.
India U-19 skipper Bhui also said he is looking forward to play under Dravid.
"It is a pride moment for all of us, a real good opportunity to prove their talents. He (Dravid) adds a lot of value to the team with his vast knowledge of the game. Every member of the side is looking forward to his inputs, both technical and mental aspects of the game.
