Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's image has become "positive" and added that India is also raising various issues including "climate justice" on behalf of poorer nations.
"Twenty years ago, Al Gore presented an inconvenient truth of climate change. Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Gujarat Chief Minister with expermentation and hand-holding has presented to the world the convenient action.
"We will have equitable, fair and just climate deal in Paris. We are raising the voice for climate justice for all poor countries," Javadekar said adding that with India's huge renewable programme, it has made a very important equation in the world.
Modi himself has talked about "climate justice" and sustainable lifestyle by developed countries to help combat the threat of climate change.
Asked about cooperation from the United Kingdom especially in the wake of Modi's visit on November 12, Javadekar said that on climate change, the UK "has done many good things especially in technology sector and we are expecting greater technological cooperation."
