Indian athletes to get another shot at Olympic qualification

Indian athletes are all set to get another shot at seeking Olympic berths at the second Indian Grand Prix athletics meet, to be held at NIS Patiala on May 6.
In all 18 events -- 10 for men and eight for women -- will be held during the second leg, which will be the third qualification competition for the Rio Games.
The season commenced with the 1st Indian Grand Prix , followed by the Federation Cup National Championships, both the events were held in the capital's Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
The best eight athletes of National Federation Senior Athletics Championships in each event will participate in the upcoming tournament.
List of events:
Men: 100m, 400m, 1500m, 5000m, 400m Hurdles, triple jump, long jump, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw.
Women: 100m, 400m, 1500m, 5000m, long jump, triple jump, discus throw, javelin throw.
