Indian firm to provide tech for email id in Russian language

Russian company Webnames Limited today announced partnership with Indian IT start-up Data XGen to use its technology for providing email ID in Russian script.
"Being a pioneering company for IDN Web Addresses names in Russia, we are thrilled to create history in Russia by offering domains and email address service in our own language. It was Russia's dream since last 13 years and today with the help of an Indian innovator Ajay Data," Webnames LLC Director Alexei Sozonov said in a statement.
Sozonov will serve as CEO of joint venture between Webnames and Data Xgen - Post.Rus (English translation of firm name).

Data XGen recently launched first ever email IDs in Indian language script including Devnagari, Gujarati, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu etc with .Bharat (in devnagari script) domain . The company offers free email address in Hindi script through its mobile application Datamail.
"Post this launch of Russian language email address service, we will be soon entering into other countries too so as to enable billions of non-English people to join the world wide Internet by simply removing the language barrier," Ajay Data, Founder and CEO of Data XGen Technologies said.
He said that With this joint venture over 140 million Russians will be empowered to use the 'Made in India' technology for Russian language email addresses on web and smartphones for free.

Webnames provide website name registration, website hosting and related IT services in Russia. The company claims to have around 2.5 lakh customers.
"Unlike Indian handsets, Russian handsets already have Cyrillic keyboard enabled and do not require any external app support. Due to this feature the adaptability of Russian email addresses will be faster than in India," Data said.
