Ramesh Narvekar and Siddhu (full name not known) were taken into custody after they were found in possession of a bag containing the money, police said.
Police found Rs 75 lakh in various valid denominations, including in new Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 notes, stashed in the bag, a police spokesman said.
Police will inform Income Tax department about the seizure for further action.
