Vinod Johnny Kumar had shamelessly preyed on the three suffering from cerebral palsy who required around-the-clock care, Victoria County Court judge Felicity Hampel said yesterday.
The judge described Kumar's act as a "gross breach of trust".
Kumar, a former casual worker at Yooralla, Victoria's largest non-government disability service, was charged for raping two women while sexually assaulting two other disabled residents between October 2011 and January 2012.
"Kumar's offending had not been opportunistic or spontaneous because he was careful to choose the time and place when committing the offences. He made sure he was the only person on duty and that the three women were at their most vulnerable," justice Hampel was quoted as saying by The Age.
Yooralla chief executive officer Sanjib Roy said, "As an organisation we have been greatly distressed that such an incident could occur and we have put extensive measures in place to prevent something of this nature from ever happening again.
