Indisposed Lehmann to miss ODI series against New Zealand

Unavailable for the Twenty20 series against India, Australian cricket coach Darren Lehmann will also miss the upcoming ODI tour of New Zealand as he awaits medical
clearance to fly after being diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis.
"Cricket Australia has today advised that Bupa Support Staff Australia Head Coach Darren Lehmann will not travel to New Zealand for the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy of one-day internationals as he awaits medical clearance to fly after suffering Deep Vein Thrombosis," CA said in a statement.
The squad is due to fly out on February 1 ahead of the first match of the series on February 3 in Auckland.

Australia
are currently engaged in a limited-overs series against India.

Cricket Australia Chief Medical Officer Dr John Orchard said: "Darren is in good health and feeling well at the moment but is still awaiting medical clearance for us to be satisfied that it is safe for him to fly. As such he will not travel to New Zealand for the one-day international series.
"He is meeting with specialists in Sydney later this week and will have repeat scans on Friday to check his progress.
It
is anticipated he will be fit to resume work in the coming weeks."
Lehmann, who has treated for the ailment in 2007 as well, was diagnosed once again in the recent ODI series against India and is since being treated here.

CA Executive General Manager of Team Performance Pat Howard said Lehmann's health was main priority right now.
"The health and wellbeing of our players and staff is always our first priority and that's certainly the case with Darren," he said.
"We will await medical advice from the specialists before we make any decisions regarding an interim coaching role for the limited-overs series in New Zealand. We have strong depth in our coaching ranks and will make that decision in due course," he added.
"It is anticipated that Darren will make it back for the Test series, but as with all the decisions we make, we will be guided by medical advice.
