The Indian delegation was led by GOC 3 Corps Lt Gen SL Narasimhan and comprised members from Ministries of Defence, Home Affairs and External Affairs while the Myanmar delegation by Commander North West Command Maj Gen Min Naung.
"It is matter of great pride and delight to host the fifth RBC meeting which will contribute immensely in strengthening our friendly bonds, mutual trust and cooperation," the release quoted Lt Gen Narasimhan as saying while addressing the delegates at Imphal yesterday.
Maj Gen Min Naung thanked the Indian delegation as well as the people of Manipur for a warm welcome and hoped that the bond between the countries would continue to prosper and progress in the years to come.
"We share a long common border and have close affinity with your historical, cultural and religious background. We always think of India as a true friend," he said.
