"Today, we are launching the IndusNet Labs with the aim to mentor and guide start-ups having potential which will continue for a period of three months", CEO of Indus Net Technologies Abhishek Rungta said.
Kolkata, which is already hamstrung with the paucity of incubation labs as compared to cities like Bangalore, NCR and Pune among others, would immensely benefit budding start-ups, he said.
"We want to mentor start-ups which will synergise with our own business module, primarily in the domains of marketing, financial services, retail and business critical solutions, all in the digital space", he told reporters.
"We want to produce three to four successful start-ups each year from the 'acceleration' programme," he said.
"The selection of the start-ups will be very rigorous. After three months, the successful start-ups will be asked to continue with the company to go progress further in exchange for an equity for using Indus Net's network of clientele, marketing and infrastructure support," he said.
In case the start-ups wished to go on their own after three months, the team of mentors from Indus Net would also continue their guidance and support, he said.
