Industry bodies of Maharashtra and Nagaland sign MoU

The apex bodies of commerce and industries of Nagaland and Maharashtra today entered into an agreement to enhance liaison and cooperation to develop trade, economic and cultural relation between the two states.
Signing an MoU in the presence of Nagaland Governor P B Acharya and Chief Minister T R Zeliang, the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA) and Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CNCCI) along with Dimapur and Kohima CCI agreed to establish a resource for access to information and research and growth.
They have also agreed to promote in the food processing industry, tourism activities and focus on entrepreneurship development besides organizing and supporting cultural events and educational symposia.
They accepted to develop training and education activities with special emphasis on skill development and professional education.
The two chambers have also agreed to provide networking forum for exchange of business ideas and contacts and also take all such steps as may be necessary and feasible to promote the trade, industry, economic cooperation and cultural events.
