"Inform the public about schedule of power cuts in advance and take all measures to avoid unscheduled curtailment," Altaf told the PDD officials during a review meeting here today.
He, however, added that the department should strictly adhere to the scheduled power curtailment.
The minister underlined the need to devise an effective mechanism to repair the damaged transformers and time line restoration of power due to breakdowns to avoid inconvenience to the public.
