Looking for an opportunity to write the success story of your innovative start-up? A competition promising cash prize worth over Rs 16 lakh can end your search.
Hosted by the Wharton India Economic Forum (WIEF), the Wharton India Startup Competition (WISC) in January 7 next year is accepting entries till October 23, 2016 from various start-ups across the country.
"Irrespective of whether you're at pre-seed, seed or early stage of growth, we are inviting enteries of any start-up with a business idea or model featuring products and/or services targeting the Indian market," Aman Jain, WIEF 2017 Chair, said.
Pre-screening the entries will be a panel of experts including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and investors.
"The experts will select semi-finalists who'll then be given a 15-minute time slot to present their ideas to the judges (via teleconference) based on which finalists will be selected," Aman added.
The two-day event, which will take place in Mumbai, will see finalists pitching their ideas to top Indian entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
"The pitch will consist of a 5-minute presentation and a 3-minute Q&A session," Aman said.
Other than the lucrative cash prize, the competition also offers 150 hours of free legal advice and up to four months of mentorship by industry leaders.
