After surging 8.25 per cent to Rs 261.75 in intra-day, shares of the company later gave up some of the early gains and finally ended at Rs 249.80, up 3.31 per cent on BSE.
On NSE, the stock gained 3.47 per cent to close at Rs 249.95.
On the volume front, 6.73 lakh shares of the company were traded at BSE and over 34 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
Inox on Friday reported 77.5 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 209.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31.
Consolidated income from operations during January-March increased to Rs 1,828.65 crore over Rs 930.05 crore in the year-ago period.
The company achieved highest-ever annual installations by commissioning projects with a cumulative capacity of 786 mw during 2015-16.
