Revenue Divisional Officer Indrajit, who conducted an inquiry into the incident today at the Neelangarai Police Station, had recommended for the police official's suspension.
"There is prima facie evidence of police excesses against the Inspector. I have recommended for his suspension. I have also recommended for a detailed inquiry by the Collector," the RDO told reporters.
