In a six-point memorandum submitted to Chief Minister Nabam Tuki here yesterday, the Forum demanded the government to immediately revoke its decision to shift the greenfield airport from Karsingsa to Hollongi, suspension of ongoing official procedure of Hollongi site and to call back the then AAI Executive Director (planning) T K Das for public debate on the issue.

Besides, it also asked the government to declare that the land meant for construction of airport at Hollongi will be donated free of cost by the land owners and all the official formalities done so far by the state government and AAI be declared unofficial.

Earlier, the forum had submitted copies of the memorandum to the Governor and the Chief Secretary.

Meanwhile, in a separate memorandum to the Chief Minister, the All Arunachal Pradesh Rights Claim Organisation has appealed the government to reconsider its decision to shift the airport from Karsingsa to Hollongi considering various factors like its feasibility, cabinet approval besides huge amount of money already spent on it.
