Intense cold continues in HP

Intense cold today continued in Himachal Pradesh, where higher reaches and tribal areas received snowfall, rains and thunderstorms.
Shimla and its adjoining areas received heavy showers, MeT officials said.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district received a fresh snowfall of 24 cm, while Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti recorded 8 mm snowfall and minus 3.6 deg C minimum temperature.
Rohtang Pass and Dhauladhar mountain ranges witnessed heavy snowfall for the third consecutive day, the officials said.
Heavy rains were recorded in several parts of the state.
Minimum temperature dipped to minus 1.5 deg C in Manali.
