Players from leading schools across six cities will compete in the country's largest under-14 school soccer tournament.
The first match will be played between Greenwood International (Bangalore) and Don Bosco High School (Mumbai) at the Bangalore Football Stadium, a release said here today.
The other teams selected through the intra-state rounds are DPS Vasant Kunj (New Delhi), Ashoknagar Bidyasagar Banibhavan (Kolkata), Don Bosco School (Goa), and St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School (Kerala).
The final is slated for April 22 in Bangalore. The champion school will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with the winner's trophy, while the runners-up team will get Rs 30,000 and a trophy.
Two to four players will be selected to travel to Scotland and Celtic Football Club for a 10-day intensive coaching camp in Glasgow and they will also get to watch Scottish Premier League games at Celtic Park, the release added.
