Mohammad Ibrahim Sheikh (37) and Aamir Hussain (30), were arrested, police said today.
Stolen items worth several lakh rupees were recovered from their possession. With their arrest, police claimed to have solved four cases of burglaries and house theft.
"On Friday, a special team received information about Hussain's arrival in South Campus area to commit a crime with his associates. Accordingly, a raid was conducted and two of them were nabbed," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) B S Jaiswal.
During interrogation, the duo confessed to their involvements in several cases of house thefts and burglaries across areas of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Bangalore.
The duo have been committing thefts since 1993 and arrested previously as well, police said.
