"Four 4-wheeler vehicles and a country-made pistol has been recovered from them yesterday", ASP Rajan Dushyant said, adding that the gang has been involved in over 20 such cases in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Acting on a tip off, police arrested the accused Rajendra Singh alias Bangali (20), Ramswaroop Nai (29), Rajendra alias Bablu Koli (28) and Akheel (34).
Akheel, who hails from Bhopal, had come to purchase the stolen Bolero car from the gang.
The modus operandi involved lifting of cars from Rajasthan and selling them out in MP and UP with help of inter-state nexus, said the police.
Over 12 criminal cases are lodged against Rajendra Singh alias Bangali and Ramswroop Nai for carjacking at various police stations here.
