Khader, who hails from Bangalore, allegedly duped people, especially women, of gold and jewellery on the pretext of showcasing them in exhibitions, police said.
During investigation, it was found that Khadar allegedly duped people across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, police said, adding, 17 cheating cases were pending against him.
Half kilo of gold and jewellery worth more than 15 lakh have been confiscated from Khadar's possession, they said.
