"We are looking into all aspects. This is not the right moment to make a statement, but aspects like the terror angle and others are being investigated," DIG (CID Operations) Dilip Adak told PTI.
A team of CID officials today visited the blast site to investigate the matter.
It is suspected that the victims of the explosion were associated with a militant outfit as a large number of watch dials, SIM cards, and other tools required to make improvised explosive devices were found in the house, the police said.
The blast took place in a house at Khagragarh locality in Burdwan town in which one person, identified as Shakil Ahmed hailing from Karimpur in Nadia district, died on the spot and two others were injured.
One of the two injured, Sovan Mandal, died during treatment at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital later, while the other injured, Hasan Saheb, hailing from Lalgola in Murshidabad district, was admitted to the same hospital in a serious condition.
The police also seized some half-burnt papers from the spot.
Shakil Ahmed's wife Rumi Bibi said her husband and she were staying in the house for about three months while Amina Bibi, wife of injured Hasan, said she was there for about one and a half months.
