Investors to get relief after President's nod to Bill: Naveen

Presidential assent to the Odisha Protection of Interest of Depositors (in financial establishment) Bill, 2011, will give some relief to investors, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said today.
"I think the Presidential Assent to the Bill in the future will give some relief to them," Patnaik told reporters after returning from Delhi where he had raised the chitfund issue at the conference of chief ministers on internal security.
The state assembly had passed the bill on December 17, 2011 and it was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs on April 3, 2012. The bill is yet to get Presidential Assent.
Asked about alleged involvement of ministers and ruling party MLAs in the ponzi scam, Patnaik said "Of course, we have taken it (chitfund scam) seriously.
