IOA team evaluates National Games prepardness

A high-level Indian Olympic Association delegation today began the final round of evaluation of the prepardness of the 35th National Games, scheduled to be held in different venues of the state from January 31.
The three-member team, comprising National Games Co-ordination Committee Chairman S M Bali, Games Technical Conduct Committee Chairman K Murugan and convenor S Rajiv,also carried out discussions with government officials and representatives of various sports agencies and federations, National Games Secretariate (NGS) sources here said.
"The IOA team had a meeting with state sports minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan in the morning. They also reviewed the preparations in connection with various aspects of the Games including food, accomodation, tranportation and accreditation," a NGS official told PTI.
The minister informed the team that Kerala is all set to host the fortnight-long event which would conclude on Feb 14.
The official also said the team would continue its discussions with the representatives of other states, whose teams are to take part in the Games and also with office bearers of over 30 sports federations tomorrow.
The IOA team would also evaluate the capacity and facilities of stadiums and other infrastructures, being readied for the Games, he added.
