IRB jawan commits suicide in Manipur

A jawan of Indian Reserve Batallion allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle here, police said today.
Pangabam Basanta, posted as a security guard at a SBI branch here, shot himself at about 9.30 PM last night with his rifle while he was on duty, leading to his death on the spot, they said.
The victim's colleagues said he had been suffering from depression for the past few days.
Meanwhile, further probes are on, police added.
