The Irish government on Tuesday said it would intensify preparations for a no-deal Brexit after British MPs overwhelming voted to reject a divorce deal that UK Prime Minister Theresa May had struck with EU leaders.

"Regrettably, the outcome of tonight's vote increases the risk of a disorderly Brexit. Consequently, the government will continue to intensify preparations for such an outcome," Dublin said in a statement.
