Pakistani spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has been using its agents to run a shrine in Rajasthan and divert the money collected as offerings there to fund terror activities, the state police has said.
Raghvendra Suhasa, DIG, Security, said today that a small 'mazar' was being run by a suspected ISI spy Deena Khan at Chohatan of Barmer, which was being used for the purpose.
"The modus operandi was used by ISI spy Khan, who was arrested last week from Jaisalmer, on directions of his Pakistan-based handlers," he said.
He said Khan gave Rs 3 lakh of the donation amount received at the 'mazar' to "two ISI spies Satram Maheshwari and Vinod Maheshwari, who were arrested in March".
"The amount collected at the shrine did not come from Pakistan but was used to fund spying activities," he said,
All of them are now under in judicial custody.
