Isuzu Motors launches D-Max pick up trucks in Tamil Nadu

Isuzu Motors India today launched three variants from its 'D-Max' range of pick up trucks in Tamil Nadu priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 7.09 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai).
"With the new range of pick up trucks, Isuzu aims to target the emerging segment of small and medium business enterprises in Tamil Nadu," Isuzu Motors India said in a statement.
The D-Max Single cab is priced at Rs 5.99 lakh, D-Max Space Cab variant would retail at 6.19 lakh, while the arched deck variant of the truck would be available at Rs 7.09 lakh (all prices-ex-showroom Chennai).
"Tamil Nadu is an important market for us, being the second largest contributor to country's GDP and a progressive state in terms of industry growth, infrastructure development and a strong agricultural base," Isuzu Motors India Managing Director, Takashi Kikuchi said.

It also offers a huge potential for pickup trucks and the company looks forward to meet the growing demand for world-class pickup vehicles in the state, he added.
D-Max pick-up trucks are propelled by a 2,499 cc engine with capacity to carry a payload of 1.2 ton.
Isuzu Motors India aims to open 60 outlets across India by end of 2015-16. At present, the company has presence across five states including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka.
