It definitely wasn't a failure: Lawrence on 'Passengers'
Press Trust of India Los Angeles Jennifer Lawrence's last outing "Passengers" was blasted by critics for its flawed plot but the actor said she did not consider it a failure.
The 2016 sci-fi film, which featured Lawrence alongside Chris Pratt, followed a space-bound colonisation ship loaded with thousands of passengers who were meant to be in suspended animation until they reached the end of their 120-year voyage.
While Pratt previously admitted he was surprised by the harsh reviews, Lawrence in a recent interview to Vogue responded to the criticism.
"I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't spot it," she said.
"I thought the script was beautiful - it was this tainted, complicated love story. It definitely wasn't a failure. I'm not embarrassed by it by any means. There was just stuff that I wished I'd looked into deeper before jumping on."
Lawrence will next be seen in "Mother!", which is currently in post-production. The film is directed by Darren Aronofsky.
