Due to alleged underpayment of taxes by liquor company "Good Host", 25 places in Bihar and 14 others in Jharkhand and West Bengal were raided, Director, Income-Tax Investigation), Bihar and Jharkhand, Kumar Sanjay told PTI.
The approximately Rs 250 crore-company used false papers to show a profit of 0.5 per cent and pay taxes accordingly whereas the actual profit was much more, he said.
Engaged in manufacturing of India Made Foreign Liquor as well as country-made liquor, the company has its factories in Khagaul, Hajipur, Dhanbad, Asansol and elsewhere.
