"The step is fantastic, I don't know what the repercussions will be, but I think the scheme regarding the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 is to flush out the black money from the system," John reporters here.
The scrapping of these currency notes might affect the box office collection of "Rock On!! 2" releasing tomorrow.
John said he wishes the film makes profit and the effect is also less for his own upcoming release "Force 2", which will hit theatres on November 18.
"It (the decision of government) can affect the box office for a weekend may be, because banks ATMs are all closed. But not after that. I hope by the time of 'Force 2' release, everything gets normal," the actor said.
