"All the materials used for development works in the district must be checked and if found to be low in quality it must be brought to the notice of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner to ensure that proper materials are used and the work in completed on time," he said.
He was speaking at a meeting of the District Development and Inspection Council here today.
In the current fiscal year, Rs 1,136 lakh has been earmarked for D-Plan of which Rs 682.67 lakh has been earmarked for welfare of General Caste people, while Rs 454.12 has been marked for the Scheduled Caste, Sharma said.
Of Rs 709.56 lakh assigned for development of Assembly Constituencies, Rs 473.54 lakh has been distributed equally without any bias, he added.
The meeting was also attended by Union minister of State Krishan Pal Gujjar, among others.
