Indian Youth Congress workers today staged a protest at the IYC headquarters in central Delhi against the "clueless and often confusing policies" of the Centre.

The protesters, including IYC national president Keshav Yadav, tried to march from their office on Raisina Road towards the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) but were stopped by police.

After that, they sat on the protest outside the IYC office.

The protest was "against the clueless and often confusing policies of the (Narendra) Modi government," the IYC said in statement.

"Even highly-qualified professionals from medical and engineering fields are finding it impossible to find employment," it said.

It alleged that the policies implemented by the government in haste - such as GST and demonetisation - had a "disastrous impact" on the manufacturing and service sector.
