J'hand Governor calls for superior training for sportspersons

Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu today emphasized the need for developing facilities and providing training of international-standard to sportspersons for motivating them to win laurels for the country.

Addressing a two-day national training camp of Karatekas from across the country here, Murmu said Jharkhand holds immense potential for growth in the field of sports as many sportspersons from here have made the country proud by winning medals at international events.

Jharkhand is progressing in all sectors including art and culture, agriculture, sports and industrial sectors, she said.

Former World champion Kyoshi Glenn Stephenson and president of KAJ Goju Ryu Karate International has trained around 200 karatekas from across the country during the two-day camp, organized by Jharkhand State Karate Do Association,
