"Three persons including a photojournalist were injured in clashes between stone pelting youth and law enforcing agencies soon after the Eid prayers at Safakadal near Idgah in downtown city," a police spokesman said.
The clashes broke out as the youth started pelting stones on security forces posted on law and order duty, he said.
Law enforcing agencies fired several rounds of tear smoke shells to chase away the protesters, police said, adding the situation was brought under control in a couple of hours.
One person was injured in the clashes in Sopore while another was injured in Anantnag town.
Although peaceful protests were held at many places against the Israeli action, groups of youth indulged in stone-pelting at Hyderpora and Maulana Azad Road as well.
Rest of the Valley was peaceful so far with no untoward incident reported, the police said.
