"We have to focus on such people in the party who are committed to the ideology with clear knowledge of the party's stand on different issues confronting the state of Jammu and Kashmir," State General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul said during a party meeting today.
The meeting was organised to finalise arrangements for upcoming organisational elections in party's state unit.
On this occasion, party's state president Shamsher Singh Manhas said organisational elections are held every three years to strengthen party's democratic structure.
The polls also reflect party's commitment to reach out to its workers at grassroots level, he said.
Party's state electoral officer Harinder Gupta said that the process will officially begin from October 1.
