Doctors attending him said that the 79-year-old Chief Minister had been kept in the ICU as a precautionary measure so that he does not catch any further infections.
They said the platelet count of Sayeed had dropped and the Chief Minister had been infused with additional platelets.
Besides this, he has developed a severe chest infection for which he was being treated besides other ailments.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh visited him today to enquire about his health and wished him speedy recovery.
The Chief Minister was admitted in AIIMS on December 24 after he complained of uneasiness at his residence in Srinagar and was flown to Delhi in a state aircraft.
Sayeed's condition is stated to be stable.
