On the second day of the philatelic exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi, Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports R S Chib, in presence of Chief Postmaster General of the state John Samuel released two special covers one each on Mahatma Gandhi and International Non-Violence Day at a function held at Kala Kendra in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Chib said that the teachings of Gandhiji are not restricted to India but have universal appeal.
He said it is an honour for the Indians that October 2 is being observed as International Non-Violence Day across the world.
