J-K Govt announces winter vacations for schools from Dec 7

Jammu and Kashmir government today announced winter vacations for educational institutions of Kashmir division and the winter zone of Jammu division.
The winter vacation of government and recognised private schools up to middle standard of Kashmir division and winter zone of Jammu division would begin from December 7, state Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar said.
The winter vacations for the High and Higher Secondary Schools would start from December 21, coinciding with the beginning of Chillai Kalan, the harshest phase of winter in Kashmir, he said.
The educational institutions would reopen on March 1, next year, he said.
