"The present dispensation headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has virtually become defunct due to fissures in the coalition," PDP general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh said at a function to welcome a large number of people to the party fold in Vijaypur of Samba district, 30 kms from here.
Development activities in the state have come to a standstill and the government seems to be paralysed due to infighting between the two parties in the ruling coalition, Singh said.
"People are eagerly waiting for the next Assembly elections to throw this corrupt regime out of power," he said and exhorted people to strengthen PDP.
Calling upon party workers to aggressively pursue the party's agenda, Singh said PDP has become a uniform force to unite all regions and sub-regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
"Through its policies, PDP has succeeded in strengthening relations among different regions and sub-regions of the state," he added.
