J-K Youth Cong protests against delay in BDC polls

Over 200 activists led by state Youth Congress chief Shahnawaz Choudhary sat on a day-long dharna infront of Divisional Commissioner's Office and protested the delay in BDC elections.

Choudhary asked the state government to hold the BDC polls at earliest, failing which the Youth Congress members would be compelled to a launch a statewide agitation.

Choudhary and other Youth Congress leaders raised the demand for the empowerment of panchayats in the state.
