Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the state's budget would be prepared with the suggestions of people as they knew their areas better than any bureaucrat.
At the division level pre-budget seminar at Chaibasa in West Singhbhum district, Das said the government has come to them to seek suggestions to prepare budget for 2017-18.
"The budget would be as per the people's aspirations and hopes," he said.
"The state government would present the budget before January 26," an official release quoted Das as saying.
He announced that a shoe factory would be established in 2017, and added that the government has set a target of supplying electricity to 30 lakh houses by March 2018.
Foundation stone for four more medical colleges would be laid in the days to come, schools would be set up in every division and 'urban haat' would be conducted in every district to boost cottage industry, he said.
West Singhbhum people would be provided with drinking water through pipeline in two years, Das said.
Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma said skill development training centre would be started to generate employment and 'Sakhi Mandal' women can play an important role in it.
Coaching was being started in Kolhan division colleges to make the youths employable and a scheme was being prepared to cover all areas of Kolhan to provide drinking water facility, she said.
