"We have identified 18 acres of land near Surya Mandir, Sidgora for the construction of Women University here," Das told reporters.
The East Singhbhum district Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar has been directed to send a proposal in this regard within 2-3 days, he said.
The chief minister said a meeting is scheduled to be held on December 18 in Delhi, when the union governments approval would be sought for construction of the university.
The Chief Minister said there was a vast unused land belonging to transport department and was being slowly being encroached.
Beasides, he said, the government also has plans to establish market complex over 10 acres of land at Baridih with a bus depot to park about 100 buses.
