The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 25.53 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
"Total Income from operation for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 stood at Rs 403.29 crore, up by 10.94 per cent, as compared to Rs 363.52 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal," the company said in a statement.
The company's order book as on June 30, 2016 stood at Rs 8,645.68 Crore.
Commenting on the financial performance, Kamal J Gupta, Managing Director, JKIL, said, "We are happy with the Q1 FY17 results as well our recent order wins, giving us good revenue visibility for the coming years. Post very good monsoon, we expect the execution to pick up in the second half of this fiscal year and achieve our full year guidance. We stand committed in building high quality public and civil infrastructure projects within prescribed time frames."
